Badge Verbiage
About the project
After the release of the Badges feature in the app, my team received a request from the Comms team and the Economy Squad project manager that the subheading for 'Awarded' and 'Unawarded' on the Badges List page should be changed to something fun and understandable by the users. In addition, the Comms team and the project manager shared their version for both subheadings but we felt that it may not be recognized or understood by the target audiences that we are targetting for the app.
Hence, my colleague and I proposed to create a quantitive test, via usertesting.com, to validate the hypothesis & assumption that were made by the Experience Design team and Comms team. On usertesting.com, we tried to reach out to audiences from all over the world.
The purpose of the test is to:
-
To validate the best verbiage to replace ‘Awarded' and ‘Unawarded’ that is in the current UI
-
To validate suggested wording from the Comms team and the Economy Squad project manager
My role in this test
-
Prepare script based on the research plan created by my colleague
-
Set up the test on usertesting.com
-
Create the insight report and share it with the Comms team and Badge development squad
-
Quick presentation to the Project Manager, Product Owner and Engineers team on the overall results received
The documents below are the research plan, script and report of the test findings.
