Client: Chatsworth International School
Project Type: School Website
Project Role: UX Designer + Consultant

The purpose of this project is to redesign the previous Chatsworth International School website and to create a user-friendly information architecture on their new website.

As a UX Designer and Consultant, my role is to give professional advice to the client with the existing information on the previous website and to make adjustments to their new requirements.

I am responsible for re-organizing website information architecture, the completion of low-fidelity mockups and consolidating feedback from clients.

The most difficult part of the project is to re-organizing the information architecture of the previous website. The previous website itself has a massive amount of pages with duplicate sections in different designs.
Hence, I had to look through each individual page and try to merge certain pieces of information together, while at the same time, creating a design for sections with similar designs for reuse purposes. Definitely, the whole process did not take me a day to finish but 3 full days to get things sorted.

Apart from the information architecture, the project itself is more straightforward, as the information remains the same but in a fresh new color scheme.
Although organizing the information architecture is tedious and time-consuming, I learnt that being able to understand what each piece of information trying to convey is as important as putting a title on the menu for viewers to click on it. While organizing the information architecture, I also learnt that being hasty to finish the task can overlook a certain piece of information that is considered important to the website.
