The purpose of this project is to create an internal data dashboard using Power BI.
​
As a UX Designer, Consultant and UI Coordinator, my role is to give professional advice to the client based on the requirements and to coordinate with in-house UI designer on the dashboard color scheme.
​
I am responsible for organizing data displays, consolidating feedback from clients and coodinating with in-house UI designer for dashboard color scheme.
The project is straightforward and the requirements have given the direction to approach it. The only thing that needed to be solved would be the layout of the data, the choice of charts to be used to display necessary and relevant data and as well as color scheme choice.

The information that we received from the client's project coordinator is that the current method that they are using was to read all updated data via Excel sheets, which are updated monthly since the sales and business team will upload and update the data.
Therefore, this dashboard will help them in analyzing the current marketing, sales and business problems that they are facing. It is also to help the board of directors to make any necessary business decisions before things get worst.

The color scheme needs to be used in a manner that can instantly tell the viewers what is happening currently and show the change in data value. If it is in red, it means there is a decline in sales, stocks, revenues earned or etc. If it is green, it means there is a good incline of the specific areas in the company.
Through this project, I learnt how business and corporate users read the data in the company, as they tend to look at a summary of the overall data before deep diving into details. Details should be limited to 1 set or a list to be able to display a wide range of details that are interlinked to different data.
